Conclusions.
We have demonstrated the feasibility of constructing a shallow sewerage system suitable for a small rural community in Greece. The principal advantages of the system over conventional designs are its low costs and the short period needed for completion. When the system becomes operational in the near future, we will be able to gauge its effectiveness as a design guide for similar situations in Greece.
